"We have lots of Cadet Airmen Basics in the unit," said Major Joe Ely Carrales Unit Commander, "We are addressing their training needs, not only to get them their first strip as airmen, but to get EQUAL OPORTUNITY, GROUND HANDLING TRAINING, OPSEC and other needed taining needed to instill a good "squadron culture" within the unit."
C FLIGHT secured the first FLIGHT OF THE WEEK slot for 2012 and training across all flights is running smoothly.
"We have some goals for 2012," continued Major Carrales, "we need to insure that cadets and cadet opportunities are accomplished."
GOALS for First Quarter 2012
JANUARY 2012
- Complete all Training for Airmen who joined prior to January 2012
- Insure all cadets move up one level to their next achievement
- Complete OPSEC, EO and Ground Handling Training
- Maintain Safety Currency at 80% levels
- Uniform all cadets in BDUs
- Continue Cadet training with 2 PT days, 2 Character Development Classes, AEROSPACE CLASSES
- Insure all cadets who joined prior to 2012 can log into e-services
- Maintain Safety Currency at 90%
- Begin Emergency Services Training
- Begin Communications Training
MARCH 2012
- Complete all Training for Arnold Achievement (CH 2) for Airmen who joined prior to January 2012
- Certify as many GENERAL EMERGENCY SERVICES cadets as possible
- Begin FEMA CLASSES (IS-100, IS 200 and IS 700)
- Maintain Safety currency of 95%
- HOLD BCUT CLASS (or other COMM class that might be developed)
