KLEBERG CO. AIRPORT- Cadets Justin Shelton and Christian S. Hock flew their TYPE 6 O-Flight after school on 9 April 2012. They were flow by Capt Mike Ward of the Corpus Christi Composite Squadron out of Kleberg Co. Airport. Their flight consisted of flying over South Texas becoming familiar with the controls and instruments. Cadet Hock flew "front seat" first with Cadet Shelton using his backseat time for study and observation.
Major Carrales had to rush into town, Kingsville, Texas, during the flights to attend a meeting and induction of the Junior National Honor Society of Memorial Middle School held at the Texas A&M University Student Union Building. C/SSgt Juan Cardec was inducted into the JNHS.
