SOUTH TEXAS- To promote cadet fraternity and amity among the cadets of the newly formed Group VII/Texas Wing a day trip has been organized to take several cadets to visit a meeting of the Brownsville Composite Squadron on 14 June 2011.
12 Cadets can go and the van is available. Cadets will meet at 1500L hrs (regular meeting time) and the Kingsville meeting will be only 1 hrs.
Cadets who attend trip will leave at 1600 hrs, 10 dollars will be needed and each cadet will provide three of those dollars for gas, the rest is for dinner. Since the meeting will end in Brownsville at 2100 hrs, return is expected to be late during the 2300 hour depending on how long it takes to drop off cadets.
CAP UNIFORM is MANDATORY.
"This continues out unit's policy of working with the cadets of other units," said Major Joe Ely Carrales, Coastal Bend Cadet Commander, "we have been working closely with out Sister Squadron in Corpus Christi and now will meet and better acquaint ourselves with the cadets of Brownsville."
The move mirrors and initial trip to Brownsville undertaken in 2005 where Major Joe Ely Carrales, Major Fidel Alvarado and then Capt. Sandy Phelps made a "fact finding" trip to examine Squadron Operations for the rebuilding of the then struggling Corpus Christi Composite Squadron. It was during that trip that the most basic ideas for a flight of Cadets in Kingsville was discussed.

thisn ic c/amn1stc mejia i feel that the meeting in brownsville went well and that we could help them out with the buildings im good with puting up fences especially the holes in the ground, we just need more cadets to rank up and next time major we will take the bugle we need to do something about the bugle schedual also sir. i say me and cadet cardec (sorry if i mis spelled the name) can be battle buddies and will wake up at 0500 and play revillie
