Training Continues at Coastal Bend Cadet Squadron

Kingsville, Texas- As the school year comes to a close, the activities at the Coastal Bend Cadet Squadron began the process of intensifying.

"It is a common misconception," said Major J. E. Carrales, "that just because our squadron is associated with the Memorial Middle School campus that we end all operations when the school ends.   This is ridiculous...in fact, in summer more things are possible."

Cadet S. Del Valle instructs cadets in the Manual of Arms for Summer Parades and Next School Year's ceremonies.
Cadets take a moment to sand the new drill rifles they are making "in house"
Cadets assemble shelter halves for future use in CAP ES activities.
Cadets have several projects in the works including continuing ES training (including CAMP OUTS), making their own drill rifles and preparing for summer activities.
