HISTORICAL NOTES: WEEK II & III April 2011:

APRIL 2011
WEEK II
The 12 April meeting began with a short safety lecture/discussion on "Staying focused on the activity and being "PROACTIVE" about keeping from getting hurt."  This was done to increase awareness at our activities that are becoming more and more "field" driven.

Promotions for C/Amn Sarah Del Valle and C/SrA Juan M. Cardec were done in ceremony at the 12 April 2011 meeting.

Activities at Thursday meetings began to change to support a possible Camp Out and Airport Fly-in at Bishop Municipal Airport on 4 June 2011.
That said, ALPHA FLIGHT- was given a 15-20 min. Presentation by C/1st Lt Spencer (GES TRAINING) in the Computer Lab and BRAVO FLIGHT was given a15-20 min. INTRODUCTION to CAP COMMUNICATIONS (START OF PROTRACTED B-CUT TRAINING) by Maj Carrales' in the classroom.

DRILL and COLOR GUARD PRACTICE commenced afterward with a focus on presenting the colors at the Corpus Christi HOOKS game. Such practice was scheduled for all week coming to fruition on Friday, 13 April 2011.

The meeting of 14 April 2011: continued the "break out session theme of Tuesday's meetings with ALPHA FLIGHT conducting a mock ELT SEARCH and BRAVO setting up the first section of the tower.  The meeting finished with the first successful set up of a tarp.
WEEK III began on a Sunday, 17 April 2011 with a COLOR GUARD EVENT at the CORPUS CHRISTI HOOKS Baseball game in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Everyone enjoyed the game and had a good time serving to Honor the nation as well as the game.
