Bravo Flight Cadets Construct 22 ft Tower

Kingsville, Texas- At the 21 April 2011 meeting of the Coastal Bend Cadet Squadron several cadets, led by Bravo Flight Cadets, consturcted a 22 foot tower out of PVC pipes and poly-chord rope.  The structure is designed to be a COMMUNICATIONS asset designed "in house" to supplement CAP Communications in this part of South Texas' coastal bend.

"This tower," began Major Carrales, "is an example of what people can do with local supplies and mimimal cost.  It will eventually stand 32 ft high, is made of PVC pipes and necessary connections and is stablized by 'guy lines' steaked to the ground nearby."

Cadets had only minor difficulty adjusting the tower by used these as learning experiences that will make training them on other CAP MASTS and ANTENNAS used by CAP.
