CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS- The Coastal Bend Cadet Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol will present the colors during opening weekend for the CORPUS CHRISTI HOOKS baseball team on 17 April 2011. This is for the start of the 2011 season. The hooks will be playing the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
Major J.E. Carrales confirmed the date with Mr. Steve Richards of the Corpus Christi Hooks on 4 April 2011.
The game itself will begin at 1405L hrs (2:05 pm) and the Hooks baseball club staff is requesting that the Cadets be at the field 1330L hrs (1:30 pm.) Cadets will meet Major J. E. Carrales at MMS for a departure time of 1215L hrs (12:15 pm.)
Once there tickets will be provided and attained at the Guest Services office the Concourse of WHAT-A-BURGER FIELD.
The current plan is to March the Colors it out onto the field from the First Base side following the starting line up and some other pre-game actvities. Once there, a young lady will sing the NATIONAL ANTHEM. Once the NATIONAL ANTHEM is completed the Color Guard will march off the field.
Practice for this activity is to begin at once.
C/SSgt S. J. Jimenez will command the color guard and select its members on 5 April 2011. Members will be posted here.

This is c/SrA vela, i am really looking forward to posting the colors at the hooks game. I am also looking forward to any other future events that may occur.
Lots of good stuff coming down the road for the End of the School years and the summer!!!
