Buc Days Last Minute Instructions

This post is designed for last minute instruction and information on the Buck Days Parade in Corpus Christi, Texas.  There will be links to follow to the body of the other previously posted on this blog.

DETAILED INFORMATION on ALL THING RELATING TO SOUTH TEXAS CAP UNITS and BUC DAYS


Several Logistical items will need to be mitigated.  1) Transport of the CAP Van to the end of the parade route. 2) Cadet Activities during the potentially 4 hour wait.  3) Distribution of water and other items.  4) Preparation of procedures for carring (additional water, first aid) items in the parade.

FOR CORPUS CHRISTI COMP SQUADRON MEMBERS:

Those meeting in Corpus Christi, Texas should meet at the Corpus Christi Police Officer's Association at the Ruben B. Cisneros Hall, 3122 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, TX 78408. (This is across from Buc Stadium)  Any of the "Bucaraders" in white jumpsuits will have lists and can show you where to go.

Parade Registration is necessary and will be done by members of the Orange Grove contingent of the CC-CAP Squadron around 1400L hrs (2:00 pm).  At that time the Marshalling Area for the parade will be known.

FOR COASTAL BEND CADET SQUADRON MEMBERS:

Kingsville cadets are to meet at Memorial Middle School (CAP STATION KINGSVILLE...in the back) at 1415L hrs (2:15 pm) Saturday 30 April 2011 for a 1430L hrs (2:30 pm) departure for Corpus Christi.  The Parade will start PROMPTLY at 2000 L hrs (8:00 pm), we are required to be there at 1600 L hrs (4:00 pm). UNIFORM of the DAY WILL BE BDUs for CADET AIRMEN and NCOs and short sleeve blues for officers.  We may return somewhat late depending on positioning in the parade.

BUC DAYS AGENDA (Proposed)

BUC DAYS INSTRUCTON                                                                                                                               30 APRIL 2011

The following is a run down of the activities prior to and while at the Marshalling Area during the Buc Day’s Parade in Corpus Christi, Texas.

1600L hrs- Cadets begin to arrive at the Location

1630L hrs- Assemble the Squadron for Inspection.  Conducted by C/1^st Lt Spencer under the supervision of Major Carrales and SM Ryder

1700L hrs- Activity

1730L hrs- Assemble to Squadron and assign positions in the formation.  Review Banner, Colors and Formation Responsibilities.

1800L hrs- Dinner Break

1830L hrs- Knots Class

1900L hrs- Drill Practice

1930L hrs- Last Minute Items and focus time

2000 L hrs- Parade
