Buc Days Illuminated Night Parade INFOMRATION POST

Buc Days Illuminated Night Parade- Cadets and interested Senior Members will represent their respective squadron by marching in this parade. It is an important one that the CIVIL AIR PATROL has not participated in since 2005.  This will be a joint project between the COASTAL BEND CADET SQUADRON and the CORPUS CHRISTI COMP SQUADRON.

It will be necessary to have the SQUADRON VAN Positioned for KINGSVILLE the week of this activity.  This will be done the Monday prior to facilitate the last practice for the Parade in Corpus Christi, Texas at CC-CAP Headquarters.

Buc Days Illuminated Night Parade Acceptance Notification arrives: 19 April 2011

DETAILS:
Kingsville cadets are to meet at Memorial Middle School (CAP STATION KINGSVILLE...in the back) at 1415L hrs (2:15 pm) Saturday 30 April 2011 for a 1430L hrs (2:30 pm) departure for Corpus Christi.  UNIFORM of the DAY WILL BE BDUs for CADET AIRMEN and NCOs and short sleeve blues for officers.

From the Acceptance Notification letter:
1) The Parade will start PROMPTLY at 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2011.

2) The Parade will begin on Leopard Streetjust outside of Buccaneer Stadium and will proceed East on Leopard Street, then South on Shoreline Blvd and end at Park St Breakup follows with Band Units turning right on Park St. Floats and Miscellaneous Units will proceed on down South Shoreline turning right on Furman St.Breakup follows with Band Units turning right on Park St. Floats and Miscellaneous Units will proceed on down South Shoreline turning right on Furman St.

3) Parade registration is necessary on the day of the parade. Registration will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on April 30th at parade headquarters located in the Corpus Christi Police Officers Association (POA) Building located at 3122 Leopard, across from Buc Stadium.

4) You will be assigned your parade line-up position and given other information at time of registration on April 30th. Vehicle drivers in the parade must present a valid driver’s license and insurance at time of registration.

5) All parade units must be in position in the staging area no later than 4:00 pm, April 30th.
